An Eternity

She was leaving. She could feel it. Despite the fact of their embrace she knew it. A few moments passed and just like she called it, she pulled away, murmuring about her having to leave. She opened her eyes and stared out behind her, a senkaimon already in the process of being opened. She turned to leave, her back to the significant other, when she stopped. Her head glanced down at something in her fist and she turned to her, walking back to her. She glanced down and she gently took ahold of her hand, placing a necklace in it. There was a pendant of a heart on the chain and her fingers gently ran along it.

"My heart has always belonged to you..." She whispered, leaning her forehead against hers. "Will you keep it safe?" She asked, fingers gently tracing her jaw line. The other woman nodded and closed her fist around the gift, draping her arms around her neck.

"Yes..." She whispered, nodding and biting her lip. "Yes, I will. I promise." Their foreheads stayed pressed against one another until she pulled away once more, this time harder, for she did not want to leave. She turned and began to walk, get farther away by each second. The woman holding the necklace was watching her leave before she shook her head and ran after her, calling out her name. The woman turned and once she was close enough, pulled her into an embrace. She kissed her passionately, knowing it'd be too long before she'd see her partner again. When the kiss was finished, the woman leaving felt tears stream down her cheeks.

"I love you..." and with that, she exited through the portal and was gone.
