"In my wildest dreams, you always play the hero. In my darkest hour of night, you rescue me, you save my life."

---Bliss and Carney

~

Jo had another urgent mission, one that started tomorrow, one that would take her from Eliot for a while until it was completely. So Jo cleared her schedule for the night, having the whole night planned. She'd have a romantic dinner with Eliot, making sure all the food would be delicious, which was somewhere Jo hoped Eliot would find just as special as Jo did. When Jo got back to their home, she put on her nicest outfit and waited for Eliot to get home.

And she did, smiling, and all excited to tell Jo about her latest discoveries or some scientific things that Jo would try to understand but find herself completely lost. Eliot strode across the room, over to Jo and planted a kiss on her lips.

"Hello, Mi Vida." she smiled, gently stroking Jo's cheeks. "So, a little birdie tells me, and from the way you're dressed, you have quite the surprise for me." she rose her eyebrow curiously and leaned back, Jo chuckled and placing her hand on Eliot's cheek.

"Go get dressed up and maybe you'll see."

"You know, usually it's the other way around." Eliot said as her hand trailed down to Jo's ribs, then her hips, her touch sending shivers through Jo's body.

"What is?" Jo asked, now curios at what Eliot was getting at.

"I'm usually the one surprising you." Eliot grinned and patted Jo's backend before slipping away and going to get dressed for their evening. Jo rubbed the back of her head and chuckled to herself, already knowing this evening would be great. No, not great... amazing. Uh... amazing sounded boring. Divine! Or Extravagant!

Jo was so wrapped up in trying to put in words how great this evening would be that she didn't see Eliot come out of her room, wearing a red dress that accentuated all her curves and made her look extra sexy. When Eliot cleared her throat, Jo was pulled from her thoughts and looked up, her expression softening.

"El... you look..." Jo walked over to her and pulled her into her arms. "So beautiful." she whispered, looking down at Eliot and just feeling an overwhelming love in her heart. "I can't even describe it." Eliot gently smiled and looked at Jo.

"And you look exactly the same." she smiled and Jo brushed her nose against Eliot's. "With the way this is going, we might not even be able to leave the house." she tugged at Jo's clothing and Jo snapped out of her trance.

"Right... and I want to get out of the house. I want tonight to be great." Jo smiled and gently grabbed Eliot's hand. "I want you to remember this forever." she mumbled as she kissed Eliot's hand and walked out of their house.

"So where is this place? A restaurant? A mysterious place?" Eliot asked as she was lead. Jo tilted her head to both sides before blowing air out of her lips. "Mi Viiiida?" Eliot called, Jo looking back and pursing her lips.

"It's kind of... hard to explain. It's both of those, but completely different. It'll make sense once we get there." Jo then lead Eliot along a curved path and to a small area which was right in front of a small lake. Eliot was only allowed to marvel at the sight before Jo tugged her hand and lead her closer to the lake, to show that there was a small blanket set up with a few baskets set up on it and candles that were yet to be lit.

"What is this?" Eliot asked with a large grin. "Jo this is beautiful! All of this is for me?" Jo nodded at her comment which caused Eliot to plant a loving kiss on Jo's lips. "You are the best."

Jo took Eliot to the blanket and pulled out wine, lit the candles, and got out some of the food for Eliot, placing it on the plates. They ate and drank and laughed and kissed, all under the stars. By the time the food was gone, Eliot was lying contempt in Jo's arms, running her fingertips along Jo's arms. Jo had her chin resting on top of Eliot's head, eyes staring out at the water. She took a deep breath and kissed the top of Eliot's head.

"What are you thinking about?" Jo whispered to Eliot, Eliot looking up at Jo, smiling happily.

"You, me, how beautiful the stars look." she replied, just as quiet. "I love tonight Jo... but then again I love every moment with you."

"Good or bad?" Jo asked, her tone joking.

"Good or bad." Eliot confirmed before sighing. "I'm going to miss you... I should be used to it but..." she sighed again, turning around to look at Jo. "Jo Charlie Morelli, you have to be careful. This... we will have more memories like this in the future." Eliot said, though made Jo smile when she gave a joking poke at her chest. Jo leaned in closer to Eliot and smiled.

"Of course we will. You're what keeps me going, and you always will be." Jo replied, pressing her forehead to Eliot's. Eliot moved her arms so they were resting on Jo's shoulders and sighed before she wrapped them around her neck and kissed Jo.

"And now this is where we move back to the house?" Eliot whispered lowly, her voice seductive which made Jo grin and shiver at the same time.

"And now this is the time."

Jo passionately kissed Eliot before hoisting her up and carrying her back in her arms. They smiled and laughed and kissed, just as they did with the dinner, but all this had more meaning. Jo set Eliot down onto their bed and kissed her collar bone before pulling back to look at her with admiration in her eyes.

"I love you so much Eliot." Jo whispered softly.

~

It was time for Jo to leave, she sat up quietly, slowly removing her arms from under Eliot and got dressed. She wrote a note, left it on the pillow and took one last look of Eliot's peaceful face while sleeping. Then her chainsaw like snore ripped through the silence and Jo just grinned, kissing Eliot's head and leaving the room, remembering the night before, smiling the whole way.

~

Eliot awoke a few hours later, rolling over to find the empty space beside her. She found the note and smiled, reading the words that Jo scribbled down. She laid back in her bed and smiled, staring at the ceiling, reliving last night. She could hold on, she would wait until Jo came back eagerly.
