:RQ: It's A Win-Win Situation

Finch yawned and stretched her arms over her head as she walked to the Ninth Division, going to see if Shuhei wanted a break and would spend some time with her. At first, she was worried that he'd turn her down for paperwork or some other excuse and that caused her to put off asking him. But when boredom took its toll, all fears were thrown out the window and she went to his Squad.

She waved to the members and went to his office where the man was filling out a form of paperwork. Finch smiled and walked in, leaning over and placing her elbows on his desk, waiting for him to notice her. When he didn't, Finch cleared her throat.

"That must be some form." she joked, Shuhei looked up and raising his eyebrow.

"Not really, it's just--"

"I was kidding Shuhei." Finch smiled and laughed softly. "Don't you know what a joke is." she asked, gently nudging his bare arm and standing up straight. "Anyways, I didn't come here just to joke around."

"Are you sure about that?" Shuhei asked sarcastically, Finch rolling her eyes.

"Yes, I am sure, meanie." she mumbled before continuing. "I actually came here to ask if you wanted to go to the human world with me. I haven't been there in a while--"

"Two days you mean." Shuhei snorted soft enough that Finch didn't hear, only caring her question on.

"And I was wondering if you would like to go there with me. I think it'd be fun. We could try a bunch of weird things and spend money!" Finch grinned widely at the thought, so excited, she may just go without Shuhei if he were to say no. Shuhei looked at Finch, surprised she was asking him.

"Uh... I suppose I'll go." and with that, Finch took a hold of his hand and pulled him out of his office.

"This will be so much fun! Thank you, thank you, thank you for agreeing to go!" she said as a Senkaimon opened before them.

After they had gotten their gigais and walked around for a half hour, looking for a restaurant that Finch had recommended, they just so happened to find themselves upon a small town Carnival. Shuhei had heard of these from other Shinigami before, there are these things called booths where you give money and can win prizes and give them to people you like. Shuhei gave a small smile, thinking that he would win Finch a giant prize and that'd make the night extremely special for her and him.

Finch was excited to try the rides and the food they had here, her senses caught up in the blur of the Carnival. Good smells here, bright lights there, laughter everywhere. She was smiling and overwhelmed with excited to try this new experience. But, before she ran off, she turned to Shuhei and did a little happy dance before asking him a question.

"What would you like to do first? I mean, we never would have found this place if you wouldn't have made us take that wrong turn to the restaurant." she said with a smile, Shuhei rolling his eyes, but looked over at the booths with games and prizes.

"Maybe we could try some of those? They look fun, and you get prizes." he suggested casually, Finch widening her eyes and nodding.

"Yes, yes! A thousand times yes! My brothers and I used to play games similar to some of those! This will be so much fun!" she shook his arm as she spoke before dragging him over to a booth with balloons on a wall that involved darts and however many balloons you popped with the amount of darts determined the size of your prize. Shuhei handed the man the money and stepped up.

"I'll get you a big prize." Shuhei said to Finch, her smiling widely and clapping her hands together happily. Shuhei got five darts and with those five darts, he got two balloons, him thoroughly disappointed. He got a small prize, a keychain with a flashlight on it. Finch smiled and gave him a hug.

"Thank you! I don't know when I'd use this, but I love it." she clicked the flashlight on and off before pausing. "Do you think I could try the game?" she asked, Shuhei nodding and handing her the money needed. She got the same amount of darts and got five balloons, one for each dart. She got a large plush dog prize. She squealed happily and smiled widely. "Did you see that? It was so cool! My brothers taught me a lot. Let's play another."

And at each booth, Shuhei continued to get minor prizes, whereas Finch continued to get the large prizes, her covered in plush animals, Shuhei having small trinkets. They went and got some greasy food, and then went on the Ferris wheel, played on the bumper cars, and nearly threw up from going no so many spinning rides. At the end of the night, they were both smiling, both stuffed, and both equally dizzy. Shuhei helped Finch carry her prizes as they made their way to get to the Society.

Shuhei walked Finch back to her house, both still talking about the day, holding each others' hands as best as they could with all the plushes. They stopped in front of her door and looked at each other before Finch sighed, and turned her gaze to her house.

"If you uh... if you want you could help me bring these inside." she mumbled, walking up to the door and releasing his hand.

"Sure. Yeah, I will." he replied, both of them squeezing themselves and the plushes inside. Finch led him to the living room and she dropped all them there, gesturing for Shuhei to do the same. He did and Finch smiled before stretching.

"Thank you for this Shuhei. Today was so much fun, especially with you there." she said, stepping closer to him.

"Sorry I didn't win you any prizes." he mumbled, slightly embarrassed. Finch shrugged as she got up on her tiptoes, leaning her closer. Shuhei did the same and just before their lips touch Finch chuckled, causing Shuhei to raise his eyebrow.

"When you think about it, it was a win-win situation."

"How exactly?" he asked.

"Well, you may not have won me any prizes, but you did win me over and your way into my house." she looked over at the stuffed animals before pressing her lips to his.
