Leiko sighed as she looked down at her paperwork, feeling already exhausted from it, although she'd only done one or two pieces. With a sigh, she stood, alerting her lieutenant who was hunched over at the smaller table, helping her captain with the paper work.
"Captain?" the hooded female asked, her head looking up at her. "Is everything okay?" the girl stood, just as Leiko put out her hand to stop her.
"Juno its fine. I just need some fresh air from all this " the blonde female chuckled. "Paperwork." Juno nodded and sat back down, although her movements were still wary she gave an obedient nod. "I'll be right back okay? Just continue working." She smiled and left the room, leaving Squad Three. With a heavy sigh, she began walking aimlessly. Whether it is this way, or that way, she walked honestly not knowing where. She found herself in a large opening before the Seireitei forest, questionably looking around. What am I doing ? Why am I out here? she complained in her head, rubbing her temples angrily. She knew what this place very well too well. It was where she and her brother went to train when she was younger and he was still alive. It's not that she had a problem she was here, it was indeed a special place, but she just wanted to know why she brought herself here. Leiko walked out to the middle of the field, glancing around, trying to see if there was a reason. Just as she turned away, a too familiar chuckle filled the air, causing Leiko to pause, her eyes widening.
"Long time no see." He laughed, his voice sounding hollow and empty, sounding different then the warm and comforting way it used to be. "How long has it been my little Lei-Lei?" he asked, Leiko tensing at the old nickname as she turned to face him. His normally shaggy brown hair had grown too long, all the way down to the end of his back. His eyes were a glowing turquoise blue, different from his naturally bright blue eyes. His outfit was bunched up around his chest and covering his chin.
"Keita?" Leiko whispered. "K Kei-Kei?! Brother??" she cried, a small smile rolling across her face. The brown haired male just reply with a cold stare. The captain began walking towards him, smiling brightly, though it quickly faded as she neared, seeing the glow in his eyes. "What happened? Kei you're supposed to be dead." She said, suspicion in her voice, although she couldn't be happier in seeing her brother.
"Well I'm sorry to disappoint you Lei-Lei." He said, continuously using that cold tone. The comment made Leiko wince.
"Keita " she said, stepping towards him, "I didn't-" before she could finish, her brother flashed forward, his elbow blade covered in blood by the time he was behind Leiko. The blonde froze, feeling the warmth trail down from her waist to her leg. Within half a second, the wound burst, blood soaking the ground, soaking and staining her white haori, staining her torn uniform. She winced and cried out, pressing her hands to the wound, blood pooling in her hands, which shook profusely, but not from the pain from Leiko felt fresh tears stream down her face as she turned to her brother, more blood pouring, the more she moved, now slipping through her fingers.
"Surprised little Lei-Lei?" he asked, no emotion in his voice but a smile on his face as Leiko blankly stared. "Still as dull witted as you were when I left." He smiled, flashing towards Leiko again. The female unsheathed her blade quickly barely being able to block his attack. He pulled back and swung again, Leiko using one hand to block, while the other she used to press against her heavily bleeding wound. Again, he swung forward, Leiko jumping back looking at her brother with pain in her eyes.
"Keita " she panted, heavy tears falling down her face. "Keita Kei-Kei what happened?" she sobbed, trying to tighten her grip on the blade. The brother didn't answer, only dashing forward and attacking her again. Leiko held her blade, slightly sliding back at the force of the attack. He took in a deep breath through his nose, flipping the hair out of his face and leaning down closely to his sister's face.
"Doesn't this just bring back memories?" he grinned, Leiko wincing and pushing him away, slicing up and cutting away a part of his uniform. Running from the middle of his chest and up to the left side of his jaw was a glowing blue scar, ebbing off it and seemingly pulsating were the design of circuit boards. Leiko widened her eyes and looked.
"Keita!! What happened to you??" Leiko cried, reaching out with the hand she used to cover her wound. Her brother slashed at her hand, slicing from the forearm, up to the middle of her palm. He smiled and continued attacking Leiko.
"I got upgraded." He said while slicing at his sister. "Isn't it nice?" he hissed, Leiko shaking as the pain from the new wound hit her. "Fight me Leiko!" he barked as she shook her head and pushed her brother away.
"I'm not going to fight you!" she cried, her body hunched over, the tip of her blade touching the ground. "You're my brother! No matter what you are!!" she sobbed, a mixture of blood and tears mixing in on the ground. "I won't hurt you." She shook looking up at her brother, who was merely smiling.
"Then I'll just hurt you." He said as he rushed forward, slamming his blade through her midsection, the girl gasping, dropping her blade and wrapping her arms around her brother. Her breaths were wheezy, causing her to wince with each desperate air she sucked in and blew out. Leiko tightly gripped the clothing on his back, squeezing her eyes shut as she felt the pain of him slowly pulling his blade out, continuing the pain for her. He stepped back, Leiko collapsing to the ground, her chest heaving. Keita walked to the side of Leiko, kicking her so she was fully on the ground, blood freely filling the space around her. He smiled down, nudging the wound on her waist.
"Seems you've lost again." He said, Leiko blankly staring at his foot. "As much as I'd like to finish this off, I have to go. Duty calls." He said as he walked in the direction of the Soul Society. Leiko grabbed his foot, sobbing from the pain and what was happening. Her brother turned, his face amused. "Still have some fight in you I see?" he said, raising his blade, swinging it down to finish the job off. "Seems the Gotei will be short one more Captain." He laughed psychotically just before a scythe blocked the move.
